Evaluation Process

At Wild & Free OT, our goal is to support your child’s success in everyday activities and meaningful participation. Whether or not your child has a formal diagnosis, an evaluation may be appropriate if you have concerns about your child’s functioning in any of the following developmental areas:

  • Motor skills (gross motor, fine motor, oral-motor, or ocular-motor)
  • Executive Functioning skills (attention, planning, organization, time management)
  • Social-emotional skills (co-regulation, self-regulation)
  • Communication skills (expressing self, self-advocacy, socialization, play skills)

Occupational therapy evaluations are provided in the client’s home. Evaluations include a comprehensive occupational performance profile, review of medical and therapy history, and administration of standardized assessments. Results are thoughtfully integrated to create an individualized plan of care in partnership with the child, family, and other healthcare providers, as needed.

Individual Therapy Sessions

An individualized plan of care is developed for each client in partnership with their families, guided by concerns identified during the evaluation process. Interventions and activities are intentionally designed around the child’s interests and focus on physical development, sensory processing, cognitive skills, and social-emotional growth. The intended outcome is growth in competence, confidence, and relational connection to support the child’s overall health and well-being.
